1024 mb = 1 gb

1GB is exactly equal to 1024 MB cause 1GB = 2 raise to 10 MB which is equal to 1024 MB....but due to the negligible amount of space(24 MB) when compared to 1GB and for simplicity it is often termed as 1000MB by non technical people.
