Online Hosting Suggestion

Wed Oct 26, 2011 8:11 am

I have been involved with forums for several years and am an admin on various forums etc. i am wanting to get into starting 2 or 3 of my own forums but am needing online server hosting suggestions.

basically i will be running phpbb v3.0 and i will start off with one forum and max out at 3. I dont know where to start as far as online hosting goes, how much bandwidth/disk space i need etc?

currently im looking at webhostingpad for my host which offers 1,700GB disk space 17,000GB in monthly bandwidth, it seems ok to me but will this be sufficient enough to run phpbb 3.0 on 1-3 sites?

any and all information is welcome.

thanks again

Remembered when making your choosing on web hosting companies is that it is usually a good option to find out the services of a hosting company that is reasonable or within your rate sphere so as to avoid spending more than your set expense

I think you need to look into seoclerks, you will probably find various number of web hosting sites, even some local hosting.
it's a best place to start up here. :)

Online Hosting Suggestion

I run a couple of small websites with not a lot of visitors. I’ve used free hosting for a while but I guess we all know their limitations. Now, I’m looking for a stable hosting paying not so much and it will still be underused.

I have three options:

BlueHost ($95 for 2 years)
HostGator ($107 for 2 years)
NameCheap ($75 for 2 years)

I was gonna go with NameCheap since all my domains are with them an it’s less troublesome. But I always hear people saying not to host with companies who have the domains. Another limitation is that they only allow 2 hosted domains whereas the other two allows unlimited domain hosting. However, I’ve been with namecheap since 2004 and I have never had any proplem with them.

I sugest going with big companies like namecheap or if they are too expensive, try their reseller.
