bounce rate

Hi just want to share something about bounce rate..
Bounce rate is the percentage of single page visits or visits in which the person left your site from the entrance landing page. This entrance can be from any page on your site. Use this metric to measure visit quality - a high bounce rate generally indicates that site entrance pages are not relevant to your visitors.
Improve bounce rate:
1)Your page load time should not be more than 6 seconds.
2)Remove anything that starts automatically starts making a noise.
3)Enticing headings.
4)Relevant headings.

Wonderfully said Sarah.
Add on to it I feel the most important is the Look & Feel of the page to which visitor strike first.
It should convey the message relevant & should have other content as such to keep the visitor interested enough to explore the website.

I used to loathe my bounce rates, but now, the most impressive bounce rate that I have is about 20-30%. It's the bounce rate of my food blog.

I think the secret to improving your bounce rate is enticing pictures, lively descriptions and interesting way of writing your blog post. For the other blogs, I have an average of 60-70% bounce rate. :)
