Web host for ecommerce site

I'm planning to put up my own ecommerce site very soon but would like to ask for your advice regarding the best web host that I can use...

I'm new to this kind of thing...would really appreciate your advice..thanks

It really depends on how much traffic you can get and how much bandwidth you will need. I would suggest getting a hosting account through Hostgator, as they offer A LOT of bandwidth, which will hopefully be enough for you when you are getting the site off the ground.

I would suggest you to create a list of requirements and then to send requests to some web hosting providers. This way you will be able to test their responsiveness and to find out who's willing to customize web hosting services for you. Pay attention on shopping carts which is easy to integrate with Joomla, Drupal, or MODx CMS, or just get a PayPal shopping cart application.

i suggest you TheWebPole.com. I must say, it is VERY impressive and reliable thus far. It is also very cheap, and you get he hosting for free when you sign up for domains.
