How to keep good affiliates from joining your program

Wed Nov 29, 2006 5:35 pm

Institute an affiliate signup process that doesn't transmit the affiliate's url.

Then, after the affiliate has filled out your form, send them this letter. Imply as strongly as possible that you are the "real" business and they are a sort of sardine who would be lucky beyond belief to have a relationship with you.

"Hi (Affiliate),

Thank you for your Affiliate application.

In order to proceed with your application I need to know a little more about
your business (How long you've been in business, the nature of your
business, how you see (my product) fitting into your business model,
your website address, etc).

A short email will suffice. Once I am sure that your business is compatible
with our affiliate program, I will complete the approval process.

Cheers,

Mr. Very Important,
Director"

Why is this a "complaint"?

Did you answer a topic and fail to leave the topic box empty?

Where would you like it moved to?
