Will the printing shades resemble what I see on my monitor?

Attempting to create my own artwork. We are getting several leaflets produced. Does anyone understand what CMYK means since it makes my hues look different?

Seen a great explanation on this web site poster printing. CMYK stands for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black. They are the 4 colours employed in conventional print. These 3 colours and black approximately correspond to primary colours which can be mixed through the observable spectrum. This is how printed colours can be produced. Adjusting your colours to CMYK will probably create the most reliable portrayal of what the print will look like. Went and had my printing done with them and it is visually amazing.
